Job offers, budgets, and financial comparisons often involve different pay frequencies (hourly, weekly, annual, etc.). This makes direct comparison difficult. Our Salary Calculator easily converts a salary amount from one frequency to its equivalents across common pay periods.
How to Use
- Enter the Salary Amount you know.
- Select the Frequency corresponding to that amount (e.g., if you entered your annual salary, select "Annual").
- **If converting FROM Hourly or Daily:** Adjust the "Hours Per Week" (typically 40) or "Work Days Per Week" (typically 5) fields if your schedule differs. These are used to calculate the other frequencies accurately.
- Click "Convert Salary".
The results area will display the equivalent salary amount for all standard frequencies (Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Semi-Monthly, Monthly, Annual).
Calculation Basis (Examples)
Calculations typically work by first finding the annual equivalent and then dividing down, or finding the hourly equivalent and multiplying up.
- Annual from Hourly:** `Hourly Rate * Hours Per Week * 52`
- Hourly from Annual:** `Annual Salary / 52 / Hours Per Week`
- Monthly from Annual:** `Annual Salary / 12`
- Bi-Weekly from Annual:** `Annual Salary / 26`
- Semi-Monthly from Annual:** `Annual Salary / 24`
