Calculating Future and Past Dates

Need to know the date 90 days from now? Or what the date was 6 months ago? Adding or subtracting durations involving years, months, weeks, and days from a specific date can be useful for scheduling, planning events, tracking deadlines, or historical reference.

How to Use

  1. Select the **Start Date** using the calendar picker.
  2. Choose the operation: **Add (+)** to find a future date or **Subtract (-)** to find a past date.
  3. Enter the duration you want to add or subtract in **Years, Months, Weeks, and/or Days**. You can use any combination.
  4. Click "Calculate Resulting Date".

The calculator will display the date that results from adding or subtracting the specified duration from the start date.

Calculation Logic

The calculator performs the operations sequentially, typically handling years, then months, then weeks, then days, while automatically accounting for the varying number of days in months and for leap years.

Applications

Event planning, project deadline calculation, tracking anniversaries or birthdays relative to a date, historical date finding, scheduling follow-ups.
